Bolts and Sizes

How many bolts are required for a longbed fleetside bed to be mounted to the frame? And what size are they?

How many bolts are required to mount the inner and outer fenders and what all sizes do you need?

Re: Bolts and Sizes

I just bought some last weekend.. 3/8 is correct but not suure on the length. I just took an old one to Home Depot and got one that matched out of a bin that had a whole mix of sizes. I'd a guesses 4 inches, but I never was that good at esimating length. as for fenders, do you mean front inner / outer?

I need to know what bolt sizes for bolting the outter fenders to the cab and radiator supports, along with the inner fenders to the outer and inner to the cab and radiator support.

Re: Bolts and Sizes

My 68 had 8 of the 3/8 by 4 inch carriage round head bolts, my 70 had 6 of the 3/8 by 4 inch and the front two bolts were 7/16 by 4 inch for some reason, the squares in the floor are larger for the front on the 70 also. Use a thick flat washer, locknut and nut underneath. now I think the factory bolts were grade 5 (3 line), I guess you could use common hardware store grade 2 bolts, but if you can get the stronger ones for a few bucks more why not ?
