Switching manifolds to headers

I'm thinking about taking the manifolds off of my 72 chevy, and putting a set of headers on. I have a 72 GMC with a set of hookers on it, and I like them alright. But someone told me that I could get a set of "blackjack" headers, which are as good. I'm running some pretty decent power out of the chevy right now, knocking on the door with 400hp. Any suggestions as to which headers to look at, and is the ceramic coating really worth the price difference, or is just having them powder coated good enough.
