I just installed my BB power steering pump this weekend but it looks like I might be missing a part. How does the reservoir can mount to the fender is there a bracket or are should there just be 2 holes in the fender. If someone has a picture of how it is mounted that would great.

Flip,sounds like you have a pump from a 366 tall block.the majourity of the pick ups had the reservoir and filler on the pump...you can use the tall block pump by attaching the filler can to the rad core support.(drivers side next to the radiator)...hope this helps....Sid

Factory big block trucks did indeed use a fenderwell mounted reservoir. It's held to the fender with two 5/16 bolts which screw into the reservoir bracket. The reservoir bracket is spot welded to the reservoir itself.

I'll try to find a picture of my big block truck to show you.

So there should be 2 holes in the fender and the bolts go in from the back side. This is a big block truck but I have swapped the fenders and my guess is that the holes are not there. From the picture I can see I have the washer reservoir mounting holes but not the pump reservoir holes.

I've actually been in your shoes before.

I converted my zero option 6 cylinder truck to a loaded big block truck. I had to drill the holes for the reservoir in the fender.

The factory assembly manual shows exactly where to drill the holes. There are two different locations, depending on whether the truck had dual battery option or not. Nevertheless, the manual shows where to drill the holes either way. All it takes is a sharpie marker, a ruler, center punch, and drill bit.

i put goodmark fenders on my 70 and they had pre welded nuts on the fenders

Here's a pic of the bolt holes in my factory fender. It had a bb with a remote res. Its now a small block so the holes are no longer needed. Hope it helps...corn
