Lower fender brace on door dogleg is missing ??
Pics 1 and 2 are of the right side, 3 and 4 are the driver side on my 1970 C10. The right side has a brace or additional support where the lower fender attaches. The driver side does not have this brace. It is mounted inside of the dogleg and is held on by 2 bolts that go thru there. The only other reference I have is my 68, and it is on it's 3rd set of rockers so I don't know if it ever had these. (it doesn't now)
This cab appears to never have been repaired, did the factory forget the left side extra brace ? Are these needed ? Anyone have one if it is needed ?(I'll post in the parts later if needed, since I am paid now) And when I get the rockers, inner rockers and cab supports replaced/fixed shold I expect to see the bolts in there like factory or is welding only acceptable ??? Thanks in advance.

Re: Lower fender brace on door dogleg is missing ??
Seems that the fender mount reinforcement is missing. It is not absolutely necessary but best to have it there. As far as repairs go, if you are going to take the time to repair a cab might as well do it so it looks right. I like to have all repairs as close to factory as possible, so at a glance or even a good look over it doesn't appear someone "hack fixed" your cab.
