Brake line ?
Can someone tell me why the lines are run different on 1/2 and 3/4 ton disc brake trucks? I'm talking about the lines running from proportioning valve to the master cylinder. They are setup exact opposite. 1/2 ton lines are run with the lines matching front to front and rear to rear. 3/4 ton runs front to rear and rear to front. ( I know, 1 day I'll learn how to post a pic).

Re: Brake line ?
Speculation here...
The 1/2 ton has tiny brakrs in comparison to the 3/4 and one ton trucks. Therefore, less flud volume, and pressure is needed to actuate the 1/2 ton brakes. So, if you make the weaker(1/2 ton) components, not work on the bigger systems, then people are less likely to use the improper part. Speculation...but it does make sence though. |

Re: Brake line ?
FYI... I discovered that 1 ton lines are run the same as 3/4 ton lines.
