Leveling my truck
IT seems that ever since I installed my Brothers' Trucks springs, my truck seems to lean to the drivers' side more. I have at most 5k miles and probably 4 years on the springs. Before, I had the front coils cut and the rears heated evenly, and the truck seemed decently level. It's really starting to bug me. I know for a fact this truck was never in a major accident...just fender benders and such(it's a 70 C-10 btw). I installed new poly cab mounts and ended up shimming the drivers side slightly to at least line up the body lines on the cab with those on the bed- the cab use to sag more on drivers side. So now, the truck is about 1/2" to 1" lower on the driver side than the passenger side, but the cab is finally even with the bed. I was thinking it's either the frame or suspension. Any ideas what to check?? Appreciate it

Re: Leveling my truck
Its a chevy truck thing. When they are lowered one side is a little lower. Even the s-10 blazers are like that.

Re: Leveling my truck
Mine was like that mostly in front about 3/4 inch lower on driver. Used two of those cheap twist in coil spring spacers work like a charm level all the way around now.

Re: Leveling my truck
Mine did the same thing so I put a shim on one side between the trailing arm and axle. Leveled right out. The trailing arm is inboard about half way from outside to center, so mine was 3/4 " off and a 3/8" shim corrected it. Hope this helps. john

Re: Leveling my truck
I just installed 1.5" lowering shackles on the rear of my C20 (w/leaf springs) and the driver's side is now 1" higher than the psgr side. Go figure. I'm not planning to worry about it.

Re: Leveling my truck
Thanks for the help guys. I am going to slap in some lowering blocks in the rear to get me down a little further. I have a friend who works at a steel mill, so maybe I'll have him make some custom blocks that are different sizes, hoping to off set my unevenness...and for the fronts, maybe hack a section of coil out. I love the way my driver side sits, but when looking at the passenger side, it's like a different truck! Thanks for the help everyone.
