Does anybody have any pictures of a 6 cyl. dual exhaust? I have headers and was wanting to run the pipes out in front of the rear wheels and keep all the pipes in the frame and not hanging down below frame. Both pipes on the same side, unless someone has a good way to run them through the transmission.

i guess no body has pics, are you going to cut openings in your crossmember?

I am planning on doing a similar setup with my I6.....not sure if I want to put duals on, or just use a y-pipe to collect the two headers, and dump them into a single larger exhaust.
Speaking of which, anyone have any opinions on using a muffler as an equalizer/y-pipe.....I was wondering if I could get away with using a muffler with two pipes to one.....but I think they are traditionally inlet/outlet on one side, and outlet on the other.....is this going to be a problem?

Staying on topic though....any pics of how someone routed their exhaust with I6 headers will be helpful!

I am not sure if I will be cutting the crossmember, but I don't see any other way about it. I have some time off after Christmas, so I will have some progress done during that time and will post the results.

What inline you got, 250 or 292? What headers are you using that don't go below the framerails? I have install pictures from my headers and you can see on page two how low slung they were on my 250:

I have a dual set-up on my stepside. Clifford headers out of a 292 to 1-7/8" tubes, H-pipe [more like a Russian <<N>>] after 465 tranny, thru turbo mufflers [2] and out behind tires. Chrome slant tips. Works fine, been on since mid '80s.

that is awesome to see that the headers clear the column shifter bracket......that was my only concern! thanks for the pics shifty!
