FINALLY!! :) Some resolution on my Truck in Truckin'

Here is the letter I finally got back from the editor of Truckin' today. It took several emails but I got an answer back finally.

Dave,

Based upon your last email, we pulled down that truck image from our site.

How we got it, I have no idea? Whomever submitted the image and information
about the truck is what we ran. Just as every truck owner who fills out a
tech sheet after we shoot their truck for a feature, we rely exclusively on
the content that provide. So if they say shop A performs the work, we run
with that information. We don't check facts unless we have been intimately
involved with the truck build.

After the feature gets printed, shop B then contacts us and proclaims to
have performed much or all the work on that truck whose owner gave shop A
the credit, we are not responsible for someone else not truthfully telling
us whom performed what work and with whom.

In regards to your truck, please send us the correct information and we'd be
more than happy to rerun your truck image with the correct information.
Also, please send a real image, not digital as the readers showcase section
on the website is no longer active for the moment as we are installing brand
new software to make this much easier.

Again sorry for your plight. I can feel for you and hopefully you have/will
recover your truck.

Thanks,
Steve Warner
Editorial Director-Truck Group

It's all coming clear now... Dave has someone falsely submit his truck around the same time he's getting a new one, and out of sympathy he can get BOTH trucks in. YOU SNEEKY BASTID!

lmao

Cool Re: FINALLY!! :) Some resolution on my Truck in Truckin'

The way i read that letter that aint no resolution thats an excuse bro! He says they shot the truck but it was your pic they used? Whats up with that?

And the whole thing about what shop did what has nutin to do with them posting a pic of a stolen truck! Or what info they were told by the so called owner and weather it was true or not.

I know theres not much they can do for you other than remove the pic like they did but i would still be upset about the whole thing.

I think id be looking at having the law go there with a warrant to get this scumbags info.

But if your happy with it that all that count's.

Re-read what was said, "Just as every truck owner who fills out a
tech sheet after we shoot their truck for a feature, we rely exclusively on
the content that provide."

He is using shooting a feature truck as an example and that they rely on what the owner tells them. He never said they shot the pic of daves truck.

again, just using it as an example of how they only have the info that they are given. This tool says he owns daves truck... thats what they print.. they dont know the difference..
