Has anyone tried the new DOM tubed trailing arm that CPP is selling? Just wondering if anyone has seen a write up on them.

But I did get one of their FREE catalogs, maybe it will be in there

Ok looks like I will be the guinea pig. I just gave up my pretty good set of trailing arms off my '67 to my buddy for his help. So I guess that "forces" me into them. Now can someone please tell my wife for me????

i'm not sure i would put 400+ horsepower to those arms. they look kinda weak to me. i think i'll keep looking for nascar trailing arms "truck arms".

They remind me of those tubular dropped I-beams for fords.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't square tubing be stronger. I think if you had some serious horsepower they would flex and possibly even break??

They are $600 a pair at CPP without the crossmember. I already got it from Early Classic. They are DOM Tubing so it should be able to handle a little bit of HP, the real question is how much. And we all know there is only one way to find out. So they are on the way.

....still ain't telling the wife yet...she will be suprised (or angry) when the box show up.....hehe

How did someone comeup with 'tubular I beams'? Isn't and I beam shaped like an I? Probably tubular beams replacing the original I beams.

The email I just got said they are on sale for $500 without the cross member. I was temped, but I have more important things to get first. I will order my lowering kit next weekend for a Christmas present to myself.

Let us know how they turn out. I would think they would be sturdy if they are built right.

Any updates on the tubular trailing arms yet, Metmanice? There is an article in the the Jan issue of Truckin. Totally tubular is the section it is in. In the Feb issue, the replace the front control arms with tubular upper and lower A-Arms.

I was looking on the forum to see if anyone has done the upgrade. It is a realtively new product from what CPP states.

any info is appreciated.

Well I'm going with this set-up in the rear, and the Strong arms set-up
in the front, HP is not a concern for me since I hope to be slammed at
least w/ a 6/8 Air drop on my 2wd Roadster Project, maybe even 8/10.

They look about right for a 4-link.I expected to see a larger diameter.I`d like to see a set out of 1x3 tube,or so.
