Mine weighs 3580 with v-8 auto and it's a stepside. I think the fleets are about the same.

Re: Whats a 67 SWB truck weigh??

I personally think those numbers are a little on the light side. I believe a stripped no option SWB step side will weigh about 3400-3600.

I have an aluminum headed, composite intake, aluminum wheels, lighter tranny, bucket seats, all pine bed floor, a plastic fuel cell, and it weighed 3710 with out me in it. I do have A/C and a hitch so -60 pounds tops.

Yes, add thirty years of dirt, grime, oil to the frame to get the heavier numbers.

Goto the FAQ section (link included in my previous post) and look it up for yourself.

These number is what Chevy released, and it what listed in the Standard Catalog of Light duty Trucks. Again, check out the FAQ for more info...

Yeah I read the FAQ before, I am just questioning the validity of those numbers. Point was, I have a lot of LIGHTER stuff and it weighs more than a "stock" '68. I don't think so.

Re: Whats a 67 SWB truck weigh??

We do Agree. I have seen actual weight certs that show our trucks to be heavier. I don't know what other states do, but with CA, our trucks (except Blazer and Suburbans) are consider commercial, and DMV fees are paid according to weight of the truck, so I would rather show DMV the book that shows the lighter wieght. I did this for my 67 SWB, dmv had my truck listed as weight 4500lbs, and wanted $270 to register it. I show them the book and they adjusted the weight to 3333lbs, and I only had to pay $70. FYI to those that may run into this kind of situation.
