Re: Brought home #2 today
Let me make sure I have this correct... You paid $300 and gave up your single wall top off your current blazer for this blazer that comes with a single wall top? Correct? Incorrect? [/QUOTE]
yeah, the guy bought it only for the top........now I'll make yall cry....he's cutting down the top and installing snaps for a half cab canvas deal! ....he does have a real nice blazer but no full top...all he has is a 1/2 cab. |

Re: Brought home #2 today
I have been looking for one for about 2yrs now. Found a 72 Jimmy in Lakeland but the guy wanted $5k for it and the same condition as yours just came with a drive train. I had to pass even though it was a 2wd. Like I said if you want to get rid of one let me know. I've got a 400 sb that would go real nice in one of those.

Re: Brought home #2 today
Wow. I would have done that deal. Hell, I had an extra top even laying around (double wall though). He would not take lower than $500 for me and he was gonna steal the tilt.

Believe it or not Cris the tub is actually better on the Jimmy than my Blazer...Rocker boxes are good and solid on the Jimmy..The windshield frame is better other than the drivers A pillar. I'm hopeing to be able to use parts from a truck cab to fix these areas. The Blazer looked o.k. until I removed the top thats when the New Jeresey years really started to show!!!!! Eventually there will probably be a 2wd frame with papers and id plates for sale in Florida out of this. |

Ya'll know better than buying and selling here. He didn't say it was for sale yet, so wait until he does.
BTW keep it a Jimmy.

Re: Brought home #2 today
As the KRUE Meisters swoops in... Any way, I'm from Auburndale and have never seen any good 67-72s around there or Polk County. Good (unmolested or rust victims) Blazers/Jimmy's are really scarce, anywhere. I have a titled/ 4wd rolling chasis sitting by the barn with no luck on finding a good tub or doors.
Good to see we have some members around Central FL. Maybe we should all get together one Saturday and have a barbacue. Dave
