Question Covering Heater openings on Firewall

I have my non A/C cab at the body shop now. I was wondering what different people did for covering or filling the heater and blower holes. I think I am going to go with a Vintage or Classic Air setup eventually.

I think when they made Copperhead, they just made some panels that bolted up to where the heater core and blower used to be. I have also seen some firewalls that were filled/shaved.

I'm thinking if I do the bolt up deal, I can also put it back original should I ever be so inclined. What do you guys think? Anyone got pictures of a bolt on setup?

Thanks,

If you are going with a Vintage or Classic Air setup eventually, why would you want to go back to original?

I say weld the holes shut, there was a guy on ebay selling the weld on patches to cover the opening holes in the firewall.

Hey Paul, I found what you are talking about on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-72...QQcmdZViewItem

Looks like it will cost $22 shipped. I think that will work.

Thanks,

Re: Covering Heater openings on Firewall

If you cover the big hole in 1 pc, it will save you a bunch of work later those pcs arent that hard to make(done it).... L
