Nothing like FOUR drum brakes to freshen your memory.....
of how much I hate doing drum brake jobs I went through put new drums and shoes on all four wheels, and greased up the front bearings.
Such a fun and dirty job. The fun part is doing these on an average every 3 years or so trying to remember when all the springs and levers fall out where they go. Luckily there is another wheel for reference. Once I remembered, it was smooth sailing.

I actually plan on leaving as is in original form. Its not my daily or otherwise I would convert. I was testing them out this evening and they sure do LOCK up easily I think they are supposed to self adjust ?

I think you are suppost to drive backwards and step on the brakes to get them to self adjust.

you need to get them close by hand before they will self adjust.

Re: Nothing like FOUR drum brakes to freshen your memory.....
Looks like I got some reverse driving to do . I believe I got them close with the at install....new rotors and shoes may be the culprit though! I will see what happens. I would hate to lock up and get rear ended!

If they are to touchy you need to back them off my hand. THe self adjust only works to tighten them up.
