Are 69 Blazers worth more than other years?

I hopefully will be taking delivery of a 1969 Blaser CST later today. It doesn't have a motor but that's no biggie, I have a nice 350 ready to go. As soon as I get it and get a chance to post pics I will. This rig is an Idaho truck and is probably the most rust free tub I have ever seen! Anyway pics to follow.

I just wanted to get opinions out there on whether the 69, since it was the first Blazer, was worth more than the 70, 71 and 72 Blazers.

JC

Oh and I scored this truck for $800.00........

IMO '69s aren't worth more from what I've seen. I think because they came with drums up front it hurts them. '72s with all the options are worth the most I believe. Just my .02.

Re: Are 69 Blazers worth more than other years?

If there is any value difference at all, I would think '72 are worth the most because they were the most refined (disc brakes, singlewall tops, screw added to doors below windwing, etc.).

There were no '69 2wd's produced (at least recorded). They didn't start producing 2wd Blazers until '70, and very few were produced.

Of course they are! 4900 produced. How many exist today? Well I would bet most if not all that were sold in the "salt" belt are pretty much gone. Then accidents, projects gone bad(80's) and I'd bet to say they are less than 2000 left. I own one of them
Also, drum brakes are the "rarity" in blazers now. Many have been adulterated with conversions to disc. 72's are a dime a dozen out here in CA by the way...well maybe not a dime!

I would have to agree with Jakeslim here. He seems to know his stuff and i would guess his 69 is worth well over a million dollars

Re: Are 69 Blazers worth more than other years?

I guess my 69 is only worth $900K or so because a previous owner swapped the front axel for disk brakes.

Re: Are 69 Blazers worth more than other years?

I think that we should establish a new value system for Blazers. We'll work like used car lots. From this point forward, the minimum value of any first gen blazer is $250,000, unless one of us is buying it, then it is worth only $2.50. Spred the word and then we can all retire rich.
