AM radio repair
Ok you'll probably all think I'm goofy, but here goes.....I have an original AM radio in my '67 that needs to be repaired. Do any of you know anyone that can fix it. I don't want to replace it since I'm trying to keep the truck as original as possible. Any help would be appreciated. AP

Re: AM radio repair
Well, due to the high cost of labor, and or repair, it would be prohibitive seeings how these AM radios are plentiful and go for anywhere from "free" to $30.00 + or - . Why not keep it "original" with one of these babys:

Re: AM radio repair
Wow! are those AM/FM's by any chance on the market??? I would love to trade in my AM for an AM/FM and keep it originalish looking. The AM/FM's I have run across in the past have been surprisingly expensive though.

Re: AM radio repair
All of them are working .. yea the prices are kind of silly anymore.. As I dont know which one I'll use yet, I'm going to hang onto them untill I decide.

Re: AM radio repair
I had my AM radio repaired and added an input for XM Radio. It cost around $300 and it works great. I don't think the guy that did it is in business anymore. Chris

Re: AM radio repair
alan,
I think you're right on track keeping the original radio in it. Nothing goofy about that at all.
