I need someone with a 5/7 drop in their truck to measure to parrallel section of the frame below the cab. I need to know if this straight section of the frame is parrallel with the ground. So just measure from the bottom of the frame to the ground at the front and back of the straight section.
I will also need to know what size of tires you are running in case they are different front to back.

What are you trying to figure out ?

I only have about a 5- .5.5" drop so I dont thing I am any help.

I am trying to set the height of the front of the truck relative to a 7" drop in the rear. I have the frame rails apart, and will be fabbing in a mustang II front suspension. I need to locate the frame relative to where the center of the wheels should be.
I am hoping that the section of frame rail that is below the cab (that is nice and straight) is typically parrallel to the ground with the truck sitting level.
So really, i guess it doesn't matter what kind of drop you have.... as long as the truck sits level... have a look and see if the frame rails below the cab are level as well.
It's simple... just hard to explain.

Just checked mine, and the rockers are on the same plane as the frame, and mine has a little rake to it but it should at 4.5/5.5, so 2" difference (5" front, 7" rear) should put it paralell.

My frame sits 10" off the ground in the back of the cab and 9" off the ground in the front of the cab. Im using 275/45/20 tires. I dont know if thats the info your looking for or not but i hope it helps.

Well maybe this info can be of some help. I have a 4/6 drop, so I guess you could sub an inch from my measurements. I have 10.75 inch at the front of the cab area on the frame and 11.00 at the rear. I have 245/60/15 tires all the way around. BTW these measurements are take with no sheet metal on the frame. Motor, tranny, and driveline. Danny
