smooth bumpers, no bolt holes...?
anyone know of a vendor out there that has them for 67-72. i could take a painted one (have quite a few) and weld in the studs to the back side, prep it, and the cheapest i have found for chroming it in my area is 850.00. i know it would be (maybe) cheaper if they were sold in numbers. i've seen a few mag. articles on this but no vendors, anybody heard anything.

Re: smooth bumpers, no bolt holes...?
It's a mod you will have to do yourself. Make sure the bumper fits if you need to do any trimming to make it fit better you can do it now just like Sam Foose did on the Nova. Be sure not to sand blast the bumper the plater will just have to polish out all the pits from blasting if they do get blasted.

Chip's father is Sam, he worked on a few cars on the show.

Re: smooth bumpers, no bolt holes...?
I found a Hot rod zine with Sam Foose teaching the basice of "Hammer Welding" It funny because Chip looks the exact same. The zine was from 1974.
