need to know some how-to's

how do i clean the foggyness of the plastic lens in front of the gauges?
also on dyeing the door panels, can i use paint thinner to clean them?
and would it hurt it if i put a cd player in my truck would it hurt if i cut some metal to go on the face of the instrument bezel to fill the gaps, or you think i should try to find some wood or plastic?
also where do you wire the lean tab on a 1406 600 cfm edelbrock carb?

Polishing compound on the lens
Paint thinner will melt the plastic
The only wire on a 1406 is the choke it goes to a switched 12 volt.
Unless you also have a idle compinsation selinoid (spelling?) it's on the linkage side. It goes to the A/C compressor cluch 12 volt.

What do you mean by "paint thinner"? If you are referring to mineral spirits, no do not use it because it will not clean the panels, it will leave oil on them. If you mean lacquer thinner, the answer is yes.
Look here for an article I wrote on the subject- 73-87.com

Re: need to know some how-to's

hello, can't help you on the rest but as far as dyeing goes do not be afraid to "over do it",,meaning,,as hot as you can stand water with good dishwashing soap,,and scrub brush (cut's grease and wax),,wash good,,rinse very good with as much hot water as material and your hand's can take,,dry good,,then wash and dry good with clean, lint free rag's and lacquer thinner.....people i know has a buisness dyeing thing's ,not quiet the same ( shoes, purse's etc for school prom's,etc..) they say this is the best way to go,,,,never tried it myself yet,,but sound's good...lol..
