Got the FP regulator and guage Thanks "68 with 350 TPI"
Well I got the Holley fuel pump regulator today. The guage was misboxed so I had to re order a different one. I wanted a 0-15psi liquid filled... I received the package with the correct part number for said guage but got a 0-30psi nonfilled guage... anyway I am going to use it until the other one comes in on Monday...and defect this one out in exchange. I also purchased the calibration kit for my edelbrock 1406 in case it's not a pressure issue...if this doesn't fix it I will pick your brains for what setup I should go with...

7 PSI?????
My stock pump was putting out 7 psi... hmm maybe I'll like this carb after all....I set it at 4.5 and I'm going back out to put the vacuum guage on it and tweak it again it idles better already....

We are having crborator problem and want to eleminated the fuel pressure as a cause. (Poor Gas mileage and light on the throttle12mpg) Some say up to 5.5 psi and others say more(the book) we are at 8.5 psi. do we need to get the pressure down to 5.5 psi on out q-jet. 350 mild cam and dart heads. 373 rear end. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am impressed.... I am going to step it up to 5 psi tommorrow just to see if it changes...my cam has a lope now....we were wondering why it was idling so darn smooth...feels like the flat spot is gone also...doesn't hesitate or anything... I did get a little too frisky with it on one street... I definately need to rplace the springs in that truck...the previous owner lowered the truck by heating the springs....not a good move....that thing bounces all over the place...

I just found out from another post yesterday that I needed a regulator... and I did...

Very interesting. i have never thought about fuel pressure being too high. What did all this sewt you back...or at least, what would it set an average Joe like myself back?

46.99 for the guage and 36.99 for the regulator... but like i said they sent me the cheap guage in the good guage box... I am sure the brass fittings would've cost a mint....total for me was 76.80 with the brass fittings ,teflon tape and hose....
