front driveshaft woos

I recently put a sm465/205 behind my deisel. Problem was my front shaft is too long, so I got the shaft with the doners. It has a bad cv at the rear of the shaft. Is this something you can replace as a whole or must I take it apart to fix?

Big collar with 2 u-joints. I was hoping I could replace the whole thing.

I think you'll have to take it to a drive shaft shop to have the entire CV replaced. If the ball pivot in the center is worn out that'd be best anyway. (Or get a complete driveshaft, it's probably be cheaper).

If the center pivot ball is ok, I'd just replace the u-joints. 20 bucks versus...what 200??150???

Let us know how the 465/205 works with the diesel. Real stump puller is my guess.
