Scored some parts, have questions...

First question, are these correct 71 big block motor mount stands?
Second, the bracket on the throttle cable with the gm #, is that anything unusual? Or any bracket for a 71?
Third, what is the upper bracket on the accelerator? I know the lower is a th400 kickdown, but don't recall seeing the upper part before. Nothing was connected to it either.
Last, anything else i should look for on the truck before it gets squished? It is a 71 custom/30 deluxe. 133" dually. Thanks, Eric

Re: Scored some parts, have questions...

Looks like all the stuff you have is from a 1971 bbc 396 or 402 truck, the towers look to be bbc kinda hard to tell from the picture angle, the accelerator cable bracket is definitely from a bbc my bbc suburban and bbc 68 chevelle ss both have them, I know from a fact the acelerator pedal bracket is from a bbc truck backed up by a turbo 400 tranny in fact for some strange I have found them also on factory bbc installed trucks.

Re: Scored some parts, have questions...

If it is a 71 1ton dually, the front hubs should have adaptors on them to fit the dually style wheel and also be disc brake as well. Those parts are somewhat hard to find.

The carb bracket looks like a quad-jet item both BBC and SBC.

The in cab accel bracket is also BBC and SBC with T400 switch attached. The ear that sticks out is where the Hand Throttle cable attaches when so optioned.

I don't know if they started the larger diameter sway bar before 73 or not. You might look at the size.

71-72 rear brake drums are a 2 year only item. Doubtfull if they are any good, but you never know.

Re: Scored some parts, have questions...

Yah the engine brackets look 68-71 BB to me.

Might as well go grab the heat shield off the cab for the BB exhaust on pass side.

Rear drums are hard to find...I still try to find any that are any good within the tolerances.

Any fender emblems?

Re: Scored some parts, have questions...

I did look at the swaybar and it looked like my 1/2 ton ones. How much work is it to get the rear drums off? I know what it takes on a 1/2 ton, but i don't play on the heavy duty much. It still has 4 dually wheels on it. I don't think the truck has a ton of miles, but it has been sitting for awhile. The fender emblem is custom/30
deluxe
It had 8-400 emblems on the fenders, and 396 listed in the glovebox. If any one close enough needs the running gear, i could buy the truck and hold it for abit. I think it will be reasonable. (i think a couple hundred would buy whats left)
And rod, i already got the heat shield, the tranny hi-hump with no holes and the power steering res.
Thanks for all the input.

Re: Scored some parts, have questions...

It would be easier to grab the whole truck if someone close enough could use it...
