Little brake swap help please
I tried the searching but couldnt find the answer. I am converting to disks on my 70 c30. I already had power drums so I thought the m/c would just swap over but the new disc m/c does not have as deep of a hole for the push rod as the old drum m/c had. Did I get the wrong m/c or do I need a different rod in the booster? thanx...

You hit the nail on the head, you will need a power disc brake pedal rod.

Re: Little brake swap help please
Ok .. a little clarification please.. I assumed the rod that may need to be changed was the one sticking out of the booster (pictured) are you saying the rod that needs changing is part of the linkage??

Re: Little brake swap help please
Not sure what model and year your new master cylinder is but a 76 corvette mc has the deep inset and is 1 1/8" bore other than that it resembles your new one.

Re: Little brake swap help please
The rod you need to replace is the MC push rod not the brake pedal rod. they just pull out of the booster some are adjustable?

Re: Little brake swap help please
The rods in both boosters I have used are adjustable. Looks like yours is too.
