Dropped!

finally got the blazer drop finished. 4/6 ECE drop with POL upper a arms, drilled/slotted rotors, new callipers/pads, all new steering and b joints except the drag link. Added a sway bar and even though it's a factory 1 1/6, it's a huge improvement. Lowering the center of gravity kicks azz. Has any one else done their blazer drop and not used a c notch? Thinking: maybe a notch would be sweet, and insted of 4/6 I should have gone 5/7 or 6/8. Did some one say lowering is addictive?

Re: Dropped!

SOON2BLAZE,... the rear will go up a little when you remove the top. Mine rear axle is about an inch away from the frame, now with the top on. I am planning on a bolt in notch with a "modified" bracket for the Super Track Bar. I did a 4.5/6 drop and would like the front a little lower. Mine is about level,... but I would rather have a little rake. I am sure I am headed towards bagging it. I just don't want the air ride stuff inside. (tank, compressor, etc.) By the way,...your blazer looks SWEET!

That's ok, I'm still living vicariously through you.

Maybe next year I can start my search. Oh wait, we're having another baby! Hmm, I guess it will have to wait a few more years!

Re: Dropped!

lolife99 what size rims / tires are you using? back spacing? Yours looks sweet! Bouncytruck, my new son has killed any truck $ for now (The day I brought him home IN THE BLAZER! Avitar pic) so I know how that goes. Hope to find a half cab some day and get a tonneau cover. TPI this spring!

Re: Dropped!

SOON2BLAZE,... The rims are Eagle 212's. 17x8 front, (5inch BS) and 17x9.5 rear, (4.5 inch BS). The tires are Nitto brand, 255/50-17 and 275/50-17. I would rather have an 18/20 combo,... but this will have to do for now. you ust have to remember that the front "track width" on these trucks is wider that the rear track width,... and order accordingly. Post up some more pics of yours when you get a chance. Also what are the POL upper arms? Do you have any pics of them? Again,... nice Blazer. If you ever repaint it,... I would leave it the same color!

I've got a 4/6 on mine... Love it! Saving up for some 20's now and then bag it later hopefully.
