1967 brake drum ?
On a 1967 1/2 ton truck are the brake drums the same for a 2wd as a 4 wd. Thanks for your knowledge. JOHN

Well from what I've been told by the auto parts person, they are the same drum for both 2 and 4 wd 1/2 ton for both the front and back. anybody here know different. JOHN

Measure the bolt hole pattern and shoe surface width and diamiter and post up, I have a front drum from a 68 or 69 half ton 4x4 laying here and I'll compare it for you.

I know they are the same front to back on the 2wd's. Don't know if the 4x4's are the same.

I have a '67 K/10 Sub and a '68 C/10 stepside. The rear drums on each are the same. On the 2wd pick up the front drums are also the same. On the 4wd carryall, the front drums are different since the locking hub has to go thru a larger hole. They all have the same 6-lug on 5.5" spacing. The K/10 front drum is a lot harder to get and thus more expensive. I don't know if the rear type hub can be milled open by a good machinist or if there is some other reason that it's different.
