Steering Box Adjustment

I just bought a 69 p.s box and pump to convert my 66 C10 to power steering. I took the locknut off the end by the input shaft so I could replace the seal, as it had a small leak. I've been told there is a particular adjusting procedure when I put it back together, but can't find info. on that anwhere. I've already replaced the seal and o ring, but want to know before I screw it back in.

Thanks
Any help?

Re: Steering Box Adjustment

I'll try to get the procedure tomorrow night. I can't get to the books right now.

Re: Steering Box Adjustment

I have copies of the GM factory overhaul manual for power steering boxes and
pumps. PM me if interested.
