Re: no heat cold cold cold

Make sure the radiator is full of coolant and the engine is up to temperature. Check the heater hoses to see if they are both warm or not.

Also, let us know if the truck has AC or not.

Re: no heat cold cold cold

Another thing to check for is a shut off valve inline with the heater hose going into the cab. I have one on mine for the summer. It gets hot enough in the cab without the heat blowing too.

Re: no heat cold cold cold

I don't know how rigged it is but check for a shut off valve on the heater hose, I have seen people install them for summer, if that is the case just open it.

Re: no heat cold cold cold

Does your cab have A/C..?

Mine did and had to replace the unit with the flapper gate.

Re: no heat cold cold cold

Fire it up and see if both heater hoses are getting hot (too hot to hold onto with the truck warmed up). If they are, you have an air flow problem. If they are not, you have a water flow problem. At least that will tell you where to concentrate your efforts.

Re: no heat cold cold cold

Without the controlls in place the heater is not going to work.

The cable that opens the flap is stuck shut. Remove the rest of the controlls.
look on the back to find the one that operates the flap. Pull or push the cable to see if it will move the flap. Use vicegrips the holt it open till you get a relacement control panel. I bet board members have one that you need.
