proof on back yard flames...

You just can't go wrong...even on primer, even with krylon paint, flames make you hooptie look BAD@SS!
(Bummer this isn't on a truck though...now it''ll probably end up in gen discussion)

Actually, that's what they looked like in the 50's. I like the "resto rod" look.

Just because they are not "high tech", doesn't make them "week". Weak flames would be stick ons or rattle can with no taping. It fits the period and they are awesome. Just my opinion. I like the old school hot rods.

If I get a late 40's or early 50's coupe, like I want, it's going to look like that. Actually, flat black with red rims and tall white walls is the best look for any hot rod pre-55, in my opinion. I had my truck flat black with a blue pinstripe to match the blue interior for a couple years, and I liked it. Plus you couldn't see all the bodywork that my truck still needs.

YES!!! That's the look I like too. I was going to do that to my Model A until I did the blower thing. 50's rod wouldn't look right with the blower. A red ram hemi would be sweet though, or maybe a flathead with Ardun heads.

Little too much white in the front in my opinion. The flames don't have any flow to them. Could have went white into yellow into orange tipped in red maybe??????? Callin it how I see it..........JB
