Swapping crossmembers?

It seemed there used to be some great info on here but I can't find it any longer. My buddy just bought a pretty good shape '87 Suburban and a nice '90 Suburban for a couple of parts off of them and asked if I wanted the front crossmember off of either one of them.

Should I just pull the upper and lower A-arms off with all the disk brake stuff or get the whole crossmember with everything so I can use the power steering (if I can use the power steering from either Suburban) and I was also wondering something else.

When I order the new suspension parts ie: Brake hoses, rotors, etc etc and the hyperflex kit (balljoints, bushings etc) I will be buying them for an '87 Suburban correct? then buy the rear hyperflex kit for the '65.

Then I can just order the lowering coil springs for the front and rear, correct?

Re: Swapping crossmembers?

get the whole crossmembers for both including brake lines --- yes on the year for parts --- you can overcome any metric to IFF fittings
