flexplate question
hey guys and gals, i have a small question for you. i have a 383 stroker engine that has a 400 crank and is externally balanced through the flexplate. my question for you is that when i am installing my flexplate to the engine, does it matter what way i put it (i.e. balancing weight facing endgine or facing transmission)?? thanks in advance.

Re: flexplate question
You need to put it on properly. The raised mounting pads for the converter need to go towards the tranny.

Re: flexplate question
Make sure the torque converter is fully seated. The TC should come out & meet the flexplate flush. If 2 pads meet nicely, but the third has to be pulled a little bit... I'd go back & make sure your TC is seated. (been there, done that).
