Good weather stripping supplier?

Well after the second repaint of the inside of the cab, (I wasn’t happy with it the first time) I’d like some opinions on who has the best weather stripping kits. As ya’ll can see I need everything. I don’t want to go with the cheapest if the quality is poor but I am trying to rebuild this thing without having to mortgage the house if you know what I mean Vern….

Re: Good weather stripping supplier?

I bought all mine from GMC Paul's. He's a great guy and has very comeptitive pricing. I would highly suggest the Chevy S-10 door weatherstripping he sells that slips over the pinch weld lip. Much easier to install and works great. I think GMC Paul's brand of weatherstripping is made by "Precision" (or "Precise") and has a lifetime warranty.

I've heard of soft seal but not that brand, isn't that the brand every one says makes the vent window hard to close? It looks like I've got to find a rivet kit now as well...

Soft Seal is a very good brand. Can't say about the vent window seals since my has one-piece glass. I'm surprised no one else has responded to your post.

Re: Good weather stripping supplier?

I am a Soffseal dealer and like it myself very well. The problem is when you are selling weatherstrip is the Soffseal is much higher priced and if you price it to someone first words out of there mouth is this other vendor has weatherstrip cheaper but they are not selling Soffseal so you have to sell the cheap stuff also. They are two kinds of truck builders the serious and the penny pinchers. Don't know what brought all that on but anyway I do sell Soffseal also. Let me know if I can help you.

PS Not saying anything bad about either truck builder. I just like doing everything first class
