MY NEW UPGRADE underhood distribution box

I always wanted some kind of distribution box for the wiring on my truck and while I was working on my father in laws POS neon I found one that I liked and went to my local pick a part and got one it hold like 8 relays and 2 types of fuses heres some pics I know the before is ugly. The only thing I have hooked up is the electric fan relay but soon will do the relays for the head lights

Re: MY NEW UPGRADE underhood distribution box

new wires the factory neon wires were 18 gauge I tried to find the same connectors that click into the panel but just went with the standard blade connector.another thing that is cool about the box it has a 12 volt junction nut that supplies the whole box

That is an awsome idea. I have 4 or 5 relays under the hood of the longhorn...that is pretty slick.

Hey does anybody have a problem with when they turn on their headlights their stereo will go out for just a second. Secondly does the installation of headlight relays solve this.

i wonder if the new ram rear bumper is the same width as out trucks? they look good, but i havent seen one that wasn't dented or warped, they must be really weak.

Mine isn't.....yet, hope it doesn't get that way now that I am not towing from it. That is definitely a neat idea and one that I am saving for future reference.

I think the one out of a 1998 chevy truck would work but It being a chevy its probably still on the road not in a salvage yard

Re: MY NEW UPGRADE underhood distribution box

Just to add something to the install process when putting the blade conection in
the back of the box silicone the wire in the hole.

The upgrade is still working well
