adjusted drum brakes too close... warped??

I did something pretty dumb yesterday... I adjusted my rear drums, but on the right side, I adjusted it too tight. Driving to work this morning, I had to turn around because I started getting a bad vibration back there.

Of course having it too tight heated up the drum in about 4 miles... so I had to turn around. At times, even when driving it was shuddering and I had to pull over to let it cool down.

I'm assuming at the least get the drum turned. Is that a good assumption? Could anything else have gotten messed up??

Only way to find out is to set them properly, and see if they grab when you go to slow down and stop

If they do, you may be off on a journey to the wrecking yard to grab a new drum

There is constant drag on your transmission, when your brakes are too tight. I do see your point, you'd think that dragging brakes would be like pulling a heavy load, but it's not. I lost a Pinto transmission, my emergency brake cable was rusted, causing my brakes to drag. I wasn't smart enough to repair the problem...... Bye-bye Pinto
