I have a 69 with t4oo trans,I am in need of the kick down switch and brackets.My throttle is the type that has the rod going from peddle to the carb, not the cable type.I think the bracket and switch mount to the peddle assembly in the cab. Not on the engine side of fire wall.
Does anybody know of a vender that sells the whole assembly?

I found mine on ebay for $35. I have the cable throttle though.

I have several used ones of what you need.. In my stash of goodies...

.The bracket under the dash...And it has no kickdown switch...witch can be bought anywhere...aftermarket...$20 shipped to you door....I can get pics of it too. Pm me if you want one..Thanks,Erick

I used the lokar setup for the th400 kickdown sweet easy and works great.

I think the under dash switch was for the 71-2 cable pedal assy only. The rod system should have had a kick down switch & bracket up on the carb/intake.
I can't find a pic of it mounted.

Pickmup shows correct. A pink wire comes from the fuse block thru the firewall with a rubber grommet to the switch and an orange wire from the switch to the trans. Takes a special ear on the carb linkage to activate(this is the hard part to find) - 15 years of junkyarding I have found only 1. The wires are usually overheated(insulation either melted or rock hard) from being too close to exhaust.

Lokar is probably the way to go.

Here is the complete setup you are looking for. This is off of my '69. '71/'72 were under the dash. You may be able to find the switch on ebay. Unfortunately, no repops for this stuff. There is an aftermarket switch, but it doesn't look anything like the right one.

The Lokar kit would be the best way to go if no one has one for sell.
