Paging crossy....

Sorry to put up a post but i've trying to get a hold of you in pm's between here and ck5 with no luck. A year or so ago i bought a cherry 90-1 cluster from you for my wifes 90 V2500. Well i need another one and i have some questions about tach clusters in that range as i know they are rare and somewhere i have some pics from ebay of the critter. Anyways i'm sittin on an oil rig here in colorado and i've pieced the info i need for wiring in a drac in my 79 so i can loose the speedo cable since i am swaping in a nv4500 and a offroad design doubler....but i was wanting to incorperate the c60 tach with fuel gauge and air psi gauge to suit the k5's special purpose build...so when you get some time i'd like to chat with you about it. Pm me your number and a good time to call or i'll give you my number...

Re: Paging crossy....

Doug,
try emailing him here: all4trux@snip.net and put 73-87 Tach questions in the subject.

His contact number is 856-678-7883 before 9 PM EST

Is it something that any of us can help with. You should be able to use a 81-87 speedo in a Vac/Tach cluster.

Re: Paging crossy....

DOUG, the contact info posted is correct-a-mundo (fonzie).
I remember selling you that for one of your many early chevs and my guess is with your expertise that your going to learn me something and i'm not going to be of much help, but I'll try. I'll be home this weekend.
for some reason I just dont always get notices of PM's .DAVE

Re: Paging crossy....

Thanx guys for your help! I think when i get paid this week i need to get signed up as a full member finally.

Crossy i used that cluster to replace the one in my wifes 90 V2500 which had a malfunctioning speedo head.

This time i have had a couple wierd ideas while sitting out here in the oilfield.
To get rid of my speedo cable i want to run a 89-91 cluster with a electronic speedo head ....but i want a tach also...so the C60 tach with fuel gauge would be a nice option because it leaves me an empty hole on the bottom left for a C60 air gauge...maybe i'm trying to bite off more than i can chew but its worth a look anyways. The 90-1 tach cluster is a needle in a hay stack...but i'm going to call gm here in a minute and get some info from my parts guy...maybe bare min i can get a 90-1 housing from gm and a printed circuit since ebay was kinda slim pickins for the elusive cluster i seek.

So far i've made a chart for the 79 harness and the 90-1 cluster but i need to buy the C60 wiring manual for the last bit of info i need.

Let me know whata good time to call would be as i have to hunker down in the chalet with a cell phone booster.

My number is 970-250-3800.
