TH400Kickdown Switch
How do I put a TH400 Kickdown Switch in my 1698 Chevy Truck? I have the whole assembly including the switch for a 72 truck but it's different from my 68. I heard there is one that can be mounted by the carb. I have a rochester 4bbl Q-Jet carb. Will something like this in the picture work? I found it on eBay.

cwilkie, the one you posted is just like the one I had on my 4bl quadrajet in the 68 suburban. If I remember correctly it mounted on the drivers side of the carb.

jostrans68, according to the 1968 Chevrolet Service manual, the switch and bracket you posted is fro a 2bl 307 engine.
The Switch that "cwilkie" posted is the correct switch and brackert form a 4bl 327. Pictures and information can be found on page 7-47 in the 1968 Chevrolet Truck Chassis Service Manual.
