Exclamation A ton of progress and some more QUESTIONS..PIX

well got the whole truck put togeather pretty much. im off work almost all this week. so this baby is gettn goin for sure. all i needed was my new tail lights and they came in when i was finished primeing and goin for dinner. so they got bolted on. now the problem is gettn them to work. what color are the wires that hook into the switch under that dash for the brakes and what other wires should be hooked up?. you can see below in the pics how i wires it at the light. are there any grounds that should be grounde for the rear lites other than the ones for the blinkers? any body got any input to get these things workn. they look slick. but theyd look better if they would lite up!!.. HELP!!.. its gettn there for sure now. thanx enjoy the pix. peace. w.

all original except one of my tail gates. i have the smoothed out one im going to either do some letters on or some sort of air brushing..I NEED HELP WITH MY LITES!!

If you go to the FAQ section, there is a post in there with a link to the schematic for our trucks. I can't remember what color, oh, hold on a minute...Ok, from the left rear light, you have brown and yellow, black is ground at the light. For the right rear, you have dark green and brown, black is ground again. Both of those run up to the plug on the firewall. Let me know if you need any other colors. Jeff.

i need to know the color of the wires in the truck that hook to the switch for the brake and what other wires need to be hooked up for the running lights to come on. thanx ill peep the FAQ

well got the lites to work. but now no brake light. must be a grounding issue. well see. no input?

99% chance of it NOT being a ground.
Do your turn signals work?
If the 4 way flashers work, turn them on, and hit the brake pedal, do the 4 ways stay on continuasly, or do they keep on blinking?

You should have an orange wire and a white wire that plug into the brake light switch. The "C" shaped connector on your steering column must also be plugged in to the dash harness, otherwise your brake lights won't work. A worn out turn signal switch assembly in the steering column seems to be a common cause of brake light problems.

the tail lights are from brothers. 54-59 lights i believe. look great. got the tail lights to come on. stay on..no brake lites. was a grounding issue that ill have to get str8. they look awesome. got more pix comen ive done some cleaning and some detailing lookn good now fellas.
