5 lug bolt pattern?

Is it 5x5? (71 Chevy 1/2)
I am looking for wheels and they are also listing a 5x5.5
I measured mine from outside of one lug to center of lug as close to straight across from it as possible, and it measured 5.5
Just need to know what is correct.

Truck and big car (Chevy) have the 5 on 5. Caprices, S-10,etc if you are just looking for wheels that fit instead of just buying wheels.

Re: 5 lug bolt pattern?

Right now I have some funky factory GM, later model wheels...
Will be tearing apart my motor that will go in the truck today. Building it pretty stout. Looking at a Rallye for it, 15x10 rear 15x8 front, or an aluminum Drag Lite type wheel, same size. Just wanted to make sure I had the correct info for the bolt pattern.

Re: 5 lug bolt pattern?

Change of plans. My son called and his truck is acting up. So, I'll be jacking with it at least today. May go ahead and put that cam kit in my motor and drop it in his truck. May be easier than trying to diagnose what's up with his. Died on him once going down the highway, wouldn't start at school, waited an hour then it fired up. Thinking either a fuel issue, or coil issue. Already has an oil pressure issue, so I think I'm just going to put a motor in I'm confident in.
