Re: Headlight ?
Silverstars put out a very white light, they make regular halogens look yellow. XtraVisions put out a very wide angle, good for seeing deer on the side of the road. Cool Blues have a blueish tint to them. I think what you are looking for are H.I.D.'s. They are commonly found on european cars. Next time you see a silverstar box it will show you the difference in the bulbs.

If you really want lights that can't be beat H.I.D.'s are the way to go. Be prepared to step up to the plate if you want to be a big hitter....

Re: Headlight ?
I HIGHLY recommend the silverstars. You will wonder if you are driving with your high beams on and they are worth every penny if you drive a lot at night. I have them on all of my vehicles.

Re: Headlight ?
I've run Silverstars for over a couple of years now. The 'white' light is an improvement over the 'yellow' light of the standard halogens. The downside is their 'short' life span (~1 yr.). I've gone through 3 headlamps, but the headlight wiring may be contributing to the short life span. I'm in the process of upgrading the wiring setup and may upgrade to a modular headlight setup using H4s. (Silverstars also come in H4s.)

BTW, it's been reported that the Osram Siverstars manufacture in Europe has a greater light output then the those manufactured and sold in the US. The headlights manfacture in Europe don't have the slight-blue tint coating on the bulbs.
