Talking I got a newer truck with questions

Truck is a 86 C20 Custom Deluxe. Its 8 lug, 14 bolt SF w/ 3.42 gears, HD rear leafs (6 leafs plus overload), two piece driveshaft, completely stock 305 down to the spaghetti vacuum lines and a 700r4 that only has 1st gear I'm told. I'm replacing the 700r4 with a 9in TH350. I also need to get the 305 running if its not gone. I need to get a decent hei cap coil and rotor on there. Drain the extra oil change out of the pan. Then I get to see what it does. PO said that the transmission being bad was bogging and stalling the 305 out. Witch it could be doing if the convertor has locked I would guess.

Its been awhile since I had a transmission that uses a detent cable. Will I be able to use the stock bracket that my 700r4 used for a th350?

Anyone know the size of rubber hose and metal line for the vacuum modulator? I'm going to need to make my own line or find a used one for the th350 that is going to replace the 700r4.

Still in the process of getting it cleaned up its been worked pretty hard I would say. The bed is very solid but its dented up pretty good especially on the inside of the bed. Rear HD bumper is twisted. Tailgate is gone but the but the welded on brackets are still there that held the tailgate closed. Front clip is pretty decent and all there. Grill is still good, fenders aren't to bad. Passenger side needs a little help it was used to smack a fiberglass boat out of the road. I take some pictures when I get it a little more presentable.

Yep, TH350 and 700r4 use the same bracket for their detent / TV cables

Don't quote me on this, but I think that the outside diamater of the vac hose is 1/4"
