I need help with a part#

I need the part number for the power brake booster assembly for a 1973 Chevy truck . I also need the part number for a 1978 pwr brake booster . Are they the same ? I may have one for a 73 on my 3/4 ton parts truck .but I bet they are different ,but need to know if it is correct for a 78 . I am going to check GMpartsdirect also and install Power assist on my 78 Bonanza . Will I need to change the master cylinder or are they the same for power assist and non power ? Any one bought a booster from a parts store and if so , do you like it ? I really want a new GM part . Thanks for any help you can give me on this . Frank

I usually just look up the parts on the Autozone or O'Reilly website and see if they match.
