I am ready to start rebuilding my vent windows and I got a kit with rivets to put in the rubber strip inside the quarter windows. I got the "rivet setting tool" as well. It looks just lika a solid rod with a nipple on the end and the rivets are not like I expected. No....shaft like you would put in a rivet gun. How do you use the tool and set these rivets....Im confused??

Re: Vent window rivets
Put the rivit head on something solid and use tool on other end to spread it. In the places that you cannot get the tool at 90* use regular rivits. Also helps to have 4 hands.

Re: Vent window rivets
I just did the same job and used steel pop rivets. Worked just fine.
