Wheel/Tire combo ???

Hey all, been lurking for a couple weeks finally getting around to asking my first question.

I got a 62 chevy short fleetside bed. Its been dropped with just coil springs. I am wanting to run some 18" wheels on her but am wondering what is the best size tires to run with 18" wheels? I want the widest tires possible in the rear and something that will look good in the front. Does anybody have any ideas for me???? I appreciate any help!

Re: Wheel/Tire combo ???

On my short fleet, I'm running 295/60/15's in the stock wheelwell. I think you could run at the least a 275/50/18 in yours.

Re: Wheel/Tire combo ???

Kinda bringing this back from the dead....but if I just stuck with 15 inch wheels how wide could I go???

1BadSS...do you have much more room to go wider than your 295/60/15's. I have searched and found some other folks on the board with later year trucks running 345/55/15's. Is that possible with our years???
