Motor year

I have a big block (454) and am trying to determine it's year or year built, the number on the front of the block is CHJ105541. Can anyone tell me, or tell me where I can get this information?

Re: Motor year

Use the casting number on the driver's rear of the block and check out mortec.com, they have casting numbers for most all chevy engines, big and small.
