Re: Fuel inject a 402??
Wonder if a newer production BB system would bolt up. Not likely, huh? That would be nice!

Re: Fuel inject a 402??
I think GM makes a aftermarket fuel injection but the cost is around 2200.00 or so

Re: Fuel inject a 402??
A late model vortec or tbi will fit, the vortec may need holes redrilled, but the intake etc is the same. Just find a wrecked 3/4 ton on up and you can find the system for a BBC. Then the next hurdle will be tuning. For the extra cost I'd just keep it carb'd, wait a minute I do, everything except my 05 Yukon XL is carb'd because of cost and ease of operation. EFI does not increase MPG enough to justify $2-3k IMO. Swap in a FI'd smallblock and you looking at $3-5K and 15-18 MPG, so why bother? They cold start better and get 3-5 mpg better maybe. You can get away with a lot, but nothing is easy or cheap. Good luck, I was going to use a TBI out of a 454SS truck, but it doesn't help economy and severly limits performance so I have a 750 double pumper on it.

Re: Fuel inject a 402??
I seem to remember the "Holly" had a FI setup that bolted right onto your regular intake. I think I remember the kit being around $500.00......

be sure to check out msefi.com and megasquirt.info if you are the do it yourself type. They have message boards over there you might try as well.
