NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Guys,
Need some help with this one. I got a bed from a good friend (Jims69)recently, and since then he has acquired a truck that is in desperate need of a bed to use for a Daily Driver. I REALLY would like to find him a bed that is in better shape than the one he has on the truck. Jim COULD have chosen to go back on OUR deal with the bed that I got from him because it is still at his house, but INSTEAD he chose to do the RIGHT thing and so I will go out of my way to take care of HIM and find him a decent bed. Please let me know of anything within the OH-WV-PA area. Thanks, Mike

I'll soon have a bed or two, find my post on the general forum about some trucks i am about to purchase. However, you are a bit far away and it mightnot be worth the trip.

Board member CREWS from MO makes regular trips East (Philly), he may be able to pick a bed for you on the way.

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Thanks Boss, coming from you that is a HUGE compliment and it means a lot.
Thomas: You and Matt are a little far, but nothing is out of the question. I have relatives in DFW so you never know. Jamie: PM sent for details. Might be worth the trip if the price is right. I have friends in New Castle IN. Jim: Yes, but I don't mind. Paul: I will certainly keep that in mind about Crews, thanks.

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
IF I win the ebay auction for a steel floor bed i'm bidding on my wood floor long fleet bed (needing wood badly but otherwise very good ) will be available in a few weeks.
It needs the holes patched where the fuel doors were but I have nice big patch pieces that were cut from another bed. It'd be yours for the taking, was going to patch those holes primer and ebay it but would like to see it go to a good home. It'll be sitting at my buddies shop about 40 miles from Columbus and quite accessable via 70.

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Brian,
OUTSTANDING! (I think I got a little tear in my eye!) I knew I would find a good reason to come visit you and the family (and bring YOU some nice parts as well)! Please let me know the outcome of your E-bay adventure and we will take it from there. Is this a GREAT place or what? Just in case E-bay doesn't pan out, I hope the rest of you would keep me in mind as well. Thanks, Mike

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
If you were closer to my area, I would say just come out and take the bed off my truck for real cheap, I will be having a Lwb frame and bed collecting dust real soon. I was going to be swapping cab to an 88 frame but I was offered a 67 swb frame for free that I need to get rid of the c-notch that was installed in it. Time to do some grinding and boxing.

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Steve (Cadiac): Sorry, I didn't mean to skip over you. You have probably run into my very good friend Gary (Ironhorse) from Wellington if you live in Witchita. If I have to start working my way further West to find a bed, I will keep you in mind. Thank you, Mike
PS It would be GREAT to see Gary and Martha again, they are GREAT folks.

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Guys,
It looks like Brian (Rainfade) may be delayed for a while in getting his new bed, so I need to have Plan B & C in place if it doesn't work out for a while. 68work sounds like he may be able to help. I'm hoping to get a response from him by PM. If not, I hope some more folks will chime in with options for me. I REALLY appreciate all the responses you guys have given me. Please keep 'em coming. Thanks again, Mike

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
I have a bed. It was a lwb truck, frontend got smashed, so made it into a trailer. I'll get pic's if needed. $75.00 It's ready to pull anywhere. Dirver side is good. Passanger side has a few dents but will make a great driver bed.
Tailgate is not that good. Matthew

Re: NEEDED, 8 ft Bed For A GOOD Boardmember
Matt,
I would LOVE to get that from you, it would SURE come in handy up here, but as of this moment, it is still a little too far to say yes at this time. If I run across one of those threads that says that somebody is making a trip from Dallas to Pittsbugh in the near future, I will get in touch with you. I really DO appreciate your offer. Take care, Mike
