Interior info needed

I'm in the process of reworking the interior of my truck. I welded up several small holes in the dash and now the truck is at the paint shop waiting to be painted. The question is, what is the name of the insulation that is between the floor and the rubber mat. I have a new mat and would like to replace the insulation barrier as well. Thanks for any help. Randy

Is it a jute padding?
You'd be better off to get the aftermarket stuff... brown bread is a brand that seems to get lots of good comments around here.

Re: Interior info needed

a buddy of mine sprays bedliners "armorthane" it's pure poly and works well as an insulator...he has sprayed many interiors. it won't allow rust and is a great sound deadener. Just a suggestion, he's going to do my next project.

Re: Interior info needed

I might give that a try. How do you put it on? Spray, brush or roller? I guess it's okay to put a rubber mat over the top of it.
