Aft Fuel cell (Nozzle location) Suggestions

I have a 69 Short Step and the fuel tank is in the rear of the truck and the fuel neck is in the aft middle of the bed. It will stick up through the show quality wood and I was wondering if anyone knows or have suggestions about putting in a filler box or if someone has dealt with this could send me some pictures of your solutions. I will work on getting some pictures of the tank and the filler neck to post here.

Thanks,

JRB

I really don't know anything about this I just saw it on a truck on ebay a while back and saved the photo. I liked the concept.

he's talking about the following link
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...699#post599699
here's that faq

the people doing the sidemarker and tailight fillers use a "perma-cap". it's a cap where you don't have to untwist the cap, but there's a hole to insert the pump nozzle. it's good at hiding in tight locations.

Isn't there a member vendor here that makes a hinge that folds the entire plank over, so that you can access the tank hole? I would hate to drill a hole in a perfectly nice bed board.

Im With you Rdrdave. Did you pop open the link on the marker light Idea. That is realy slick. The gas fill is actually behind the side marker light on the fender. There are some realy smart creative people out there.
