Moral: Don't buy the cheap stuff....
Next time you are in the Auto Parts store....remember these words.
Don't buy the cheap stuff... Your time is worth the extra money. I noticed the other night while driving home that my voltage guage was reading 16 volts. I knew it wasn't my alternator... So I stop by a different O'reilly ( not the one I had just left...) and picked up the "P" version of the Borg Warner regulator... I continued home and put it on the next morning... Much to my surprise... my guage now read 9 volts... so I charged my battery to see if that was it... nope... so I took the truck up to the store and tested the battery... fine, and the tester confirmed my guage reading. I then purchased the Select version in Borg Warner... and installed it (in the dark) fired it up and everything works great. What is your time worth? Thanks... I feel better already.... |
