Re: Kill Switch

If theft prevention is your goal here's what I did:

I use an Autolock . Harder to cut through the brake pedal than the steering wheel. I also have a fuse on the battery wire to the ignition, under the hood. It's a blown fuse when it's parked. If (when) they get through the Autolock, hopefully, they'll waste a lot of time farting around looking for a kill switch that's not there before giving up or going under the hood- which you can rig up to lock if you like. Certainly not fool proof but a good effort.

Zonaman, they don't list our trucks specifically and I'm wondering what car model works with our trucks? I'm thinking about getting the Autolock X.

EDIT: I figured it out. Turns out the cars they list the Autolock WON'T work with them.

I'll take a look at mine and let you know. I just remember picking it up off the shelf at a local Checker Auto.

Re: Kill Switch

If You Put A Kill Switch In Line On The Purple Wire That Goes To Your Nuetral Safty Switch, It Will Shut Down The Ignition Switch When Activated. John

Re: Kill Switch

I was thinking about using a floor-mounted high beam switch for a kill switch the other day. It looks natural and when activated, truck won't start (wire as JYJ mentioned).

Just a thought. I'm going to have lojack in my truck, so ...
