Hey Longhornman

how's the caddy holding up. I havent heard anything good or bad lately.
have you had a chance to pull or haul anything heavy (over 3000lbs load)?
I am gearing up to start building my 472. all I gotta do is scrape up $2500 and things will get rolling. (wife doesnt like the engine budget. she balked at the small block cost )

Re: Hey Longhornman

it's holding up fine. Still ain't had the time to tune the carb, so it reeks of gas at idle, and I can't crack the secondaries open... but it still tugs pretty good.
I had 3400 pounds of parts truck in the bed after cutting it all up, that sucker pulled harder than our '96 power stroke we have at work.

Re: Hey Longhornman

Who`s that one Caddy-swap guy,ThrottleMasters? The guy I have a deal for a`71 C/30 tow truck has a motor/trans combo ready to go in a 67-72.I think he`ll realize what I already know. He`ll never get it into anything.I know how he is,a starter not a finisher.So...once I own the tow truck,I`ll start working on trying to get that powerplant for it.Whatcha think, will it pull?
